Sixth Form visit SJL Careers Fayre

Last week students went to Sir John Lawes School in Harpenden for a careers fayre. Students behaved impeccably, and were commended on their mature attitude and interest in the companies at the event. It was clear that students had done their research on the opportunities available to them, and they spent the hour making wise choices of who to talk to. Many students are now more clear on the type of opportunities available to them post-18. One student was given a business card, and told to keep in touch; Four students have signed up to our academy trust to be updated on what is available in terms of teacher training.

We had a fantastic afternoon out, it wasn't all about biscuits and freebies! We have been invited back next year to attend the whole days event.

Mrs Tweddell and Mr Passarelli, who accompanied the trip, are both very proud of how the students conducted themselves. The coach driver commented on how polite our young people are.
